The purpose of this study was to investigate the factor structure, reliability and validity of the cost scale.To this aim, 404 students were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method among the female students of the 10th and 11th grades of state schools in Kashan and responded to cost scales(Flake, 2015).The results of the exploratory factor analysis by the principal components method confirmed the three factors of the task emotional and effort cost, outside effort cost and loss of valued alternatives for the cost scale. To investigate the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach's alpha was used and factor analysis was used to determine its validity. The results showed that the questionnaire had acceptable internal consistency and The Cronbach's alpha coefficients in the sub-scales are above 0.9. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis confirm that the structure of the questionnaire has an acceptable fit with the data and all indicators of fitting goodness confirm the model. The findings of the factor analysis were almost similar to those of the original culture, and the reliability and validity coefficients were close to their results. Therefore, considering the desirable psychometric properties, this questionnaire is an appropriate tool for determining the perceived cost of students
