The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of mobility and orientation training on the motor skills of children with visual impairment. 30 male students with visual impairment (15 subjects in control group and 15 subjects in experimental group) with age ranging from 7 to 11 years from Shahid Mohebbi School in Tehran were selected.  The participants were and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups according to motor performance that was performed by Oseretsky Lincoln motor development test. The experimental group participated in a training program for 20 sessions of 45 minute and the control group performed their daily activities. Data collection was carried out for all participants in the form of pre-test, post-test and follow-up. In order to compare the two groups, the statistical model of multivariate analysis of covariance was used. The results showed a significant difference in the experimental group compared with the control group in terms of motor skills (P<0/001). Thus, it can be said that the training program of mobility and orientation can be useful to improve the motor skills of children with visual impairment.
