Abstract

The present study aimed to present a model of psychological withdrawal of employees in government organizations. The present study is considered a descriptive survey-type study in terms of its applied purpose, based on the data collection method, and a qualitative research of the data-based type based on the nature of the data. The statistical population of the study was university professors and human resources and administrative managers of government organizations, who were selected using the theoretical sampling method. Therefore, based on the rule of theoretical saturation, this was achieved in the present study using 14 interviews, and the required data was collected using semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using three stages of open, axial, and selective coding within the framework of a structured grounded theory method. The 186 identified open codes were combined into 100 core codes and 29 optional codes, which were categorized into 6 main categories including causal conditions, central phenomenon, underlying conditions, intervening conditions, strategies, and consequences.
