The present study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of the Farsi version of the compassionate engagement and action Scales. This study was practical and descriptive. The statistical population consisted of all students at Shahid Beheshti University for the 2022-23academic year. From this,295 participants(179 women and116 men were selected based on the subject’s availability. Participants completed theCompassionate Engagement and Action Scales(CEAS), Self-Compassion Scale(SCS), TheForms of Self-Criticizing/attacking and Self-reassuring Scale(FSCRS), TheWarwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale(WEMWBS)and theDepression Anxiety Stress Scales(DASS). Confirmatory factor analysis, convergent and discriminant validity, internal consistency, and retesting were analyzed using SPSS26 and Amos24. The confirmatory factor analysis results supported a two-factor structure for allscales of self-compassion, compassion to others, and compassion received from others including “compassionate engagement” and “compassionate action”. For convergent and discriminant validity, a significant correlation was obtained between self-compassion and received compassion scales with other scales used in this research(P<0.01); However, no significant correlation was found for the compassion to others scale. The Cronbach alpha for internal consistency of scales was high, and the test-retest correlation coefficient was also obtained strongly(P<0.01) for all scales in a sample of30 people after15 days. Finally, it can be concluded the Persian version of CEAS has good validity and reliability.
