Abstract

The aim of the study was to compare the effectiveness of positive psychotherapy and integrated transdiagnostic therapy on marital intimacy, mental vitality and emotional expression in women with marital burnout. The method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test-follow-up plan with a control group. The population consisted of women with marital burnout who referred to counseling and psychological centers of Razi family, Omidfarda, Hayat Shahr Karaj in the second 6 months of 1401. According to the Marital Burnout Scale (CBM), 36 women with high marital burnout were selected through purposive sampling. The selection was assigned to three groups (two experimental groups and one control group). Data were collected from marital intimacy questionnaire (MIS), mental vitality (MV) and emotional expressiveness questionnaire (EEQ). The data was analyzed by repeated analysis of variance using SPSS 26 software.The findings showed that both treatment methods were effective on marital intimacy, mental vitality and emotional expression in women with marital burnout, and the effect of both treatment methods was permanent in the two-month follow-up phase. It can be said that positive psychotherapy and integrated transdiagnostic therapy can be used as efficient methods for intimacy, vitality and self-expression of couples with marital exhaustion
