Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigating role of emotional exhaustion and feeling of loneliness in prediction victimization workplace bullying with mediating role of fear of negative evaluation in nurses. The design of the research was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the research was all the nurses working in hospitals (Wali Asr, Razi, Kasri and Imam Khomeini) Qaimshahr in Mazandaran province in 2023, numbering 420 people. The sample size was selected with convenience sampling method of 120 people. To measure the variables, negative acts questionnaire-revised (NAQ-R), Maslach burnout emotional exhaustion inventory (MBEEI), University of California, Los Angeles- loneliness scale, version 3 (UCLA LS3) and brief fear of negative evaluation scale (FNES-B). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and structural equation modelling with using SPSS and AMOS software version 26 was investigated. The results showed that there is significant relationship between emotional exhaustion, feeling of loneliness and fear of negative evaluation with victimization workplace bullying (P <0.01). Results also showed that most of the direct paths of this study were significant and indirect paths of emotional exhaustion and feeling of loneliness were significant through the mediating role of fear of negative evaluation on victimization workplace bullying.
