Comparing the Effectiveness of Emotion- Focused Therapy with Life Review Treatment based on the Islamic Ontology Trend on the Difficulty in Regulating Emotion in Female Adolescents

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to comparing the effectiveness of emotion- focused therapy with life review treatment based on the Islamic ontology trend on the difficulty in regulating emotion in female adolescents. This semi-experimental study was conducted with a pretest-posttest design with control group and follow-up 2 month. The statistical population was all female adolescents aged 17 to 21 years who referred to counseling centers in Shahrebabak in the winter of 2022. In the first stage, 45 female adolescents were selected and and then randomly divided into 2 experimental groups (15 people in each group) and a control group (15 people) were replaced and experimental groups underwent emotion- focused therapy and life review treatment based on the Islamic ontology trend, but the control group received no training and remained in the waiting list. To collect data difficulties in emotion regulation scale (DERS). Data analysis was performed using SPSS-28 software with analysis of variance with repeated measures and Bonferroni. The results of the study showed that of both interventions had a significant effect on difficulties in emotion regulation (P<0.05).
