Comparing the effectiveness of schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy on psychological capital, loneliness, academic procrastination, and emotion regulation in male high school students with internet addiction

Abstract
The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of group therapy based on acceptance and commitment and group schema therapy on academic procrastination, emotion regulation, psychological capital, and loneliness in male high school students with Internet addiction. The present research method is semi-experimental and pre-test and post-test with a follow-up phase.
The statistical population of this study was all male high school students with Internet addiction in Boroujerd city in the academic year 1402-1403. Among them, 36 people were selected by purposive non-random sampling method and were randomly assigned to 3 groups: intervention one, intervention two, and control. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 22 software.
The results of the analysis of variance showed that there is a difference between the effectiveness of group therapy based on acceptance and commitment and group schema therapy on the mentioned variables, so that schema therapy has a higher effectiveness than acceptance and commitment therapy on the mentioned variables. (P<0/05)
It can be concluded that schema therapy has a higher effectiveness than acceptance and commitment therapy on psychological capital, loneliness, emotion regulation, and academic procrastination.
