The Relationship Between Religious Orientation, Meaning in life and Quality of life

This research is functioned to investigate the relation between Religious Orientation, Meaning in life  and Quality of life in Elderly at 1391-92th in Tehran. This research was a correlation study. For this purpose,participants were 350 Elders that were selected from nursing home.The research instruments were,Allport Religious Orientation  inventory  and Quality of life Inventory( WHOQOL-BREF questioner) and meaningful life scale. data were analyzed by using SPSS15 by using of  indicators descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, SD), Pearson and Regression.. The results showed a relationship between  Meaning in life and Quality of life.Meaning in life can predict(٪52) Quality of life.Internal religious Orientation can predict  (٪48) Quality of lif. Exterior religious orientation can predict  (٪18) Quality of lif. The results showed, High meaning in life of elders  improves their quality of life. Although the quality of life for all the elders, is one of the major challenges of this century, Elders living in nursing homes are in priority.
