Abstract
This research examines the casual relationship between parenting styles with identity processing styles and identity commitment in adolescent girls. 391 female students in third grade of high school completed two measures: Perceived Parenting Style Scale ( Bury, 1991) and Identity Style Inventory( Berzonsky, 1997). Two structural equation modeling for fathers and mothers had good fit with data and showed complex interaction between family context and identity processing styles in adolescence. results of this research indicated that multivariate models help us understand the complex procces of identity formation.
