Efficacy of Family-Centered Sensitive Integration on Coordination Motor in Down`s Syndrome Children

Down`s syndrome children have sensitive- motor problems and motivational weakness and in case of motor skills have important role in perceptional motor skills and academic learning, this research conducted to investigate the efficacy of family-centered sensitive integration education coordination motor for 5 to 8 years old Down`s syndrome children. Statistical society included parents of 5 to 8 years old Down`s syndrome children living in Isfahan. The study was designed by Quasi-experimental method with pre and post-tests in experimental and control groups. In this case, 30 family who had 5 to 8 years old Down`s syndrome children, were selected by accessible sampling method and randomly divided in control and experimental groups and then Parents who were in experimental group participated in ten educational sessions of sensitive integration manner. In order to investigate the children`s coordination motor skills, Lincoln Ozretski `s Motor development scale was used and the data were analyzed through analysis of covariance method. Results showed that there was a significant difference between coordination motor skills of two groups in post-test (p≤0/001). it can be concluded that family-centered sensitive integration education is effective on improvement of coordination motor of 5 to 8 years old Down`s syndrome children and this program can be useful for rehabilitation of children with motor problems.
