Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of need of achievement and need of affiliation in the effect of perceived organizational justice which encompasses distributive, procedural and interactional dimensions on service-oriented organizational citizenship behavior (SOCB). This study is a descriptive-correlation survey. Statistical population consists of 350 employees of various branches of Parsian Insurance Company in Tehran which of them 183 employees were randomly selected as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaire. Questionnaire`s reliability and validity were analyzed using Cronbach alpha coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis respectively. Results of the structural equation modeling show that employees` perceptions of procedural and interactional justice have positive effect on SOCB whereas distributive justice has no significant impact on SOCB. In addition, results of the hierarchical regression support the moderating role of need of achievement and need of affiliation in the relationship between perceived procedural and interactional justice and SOCB.
