Investigating the Psychometric Properties of the Persian Version of the Emotional Literacy Skill Scale in Adolescents

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the Emotional Literacy Skill Scale. Method: The research method is a description of the type of scale formulation.The research population included all high school teenagers . Using Cochran's formula, the sample size was estimated to be 483 people The research tools were Emotional Literacy Skill Scale (DISI-O) and Emotional Intelligence. The research data were analyzed at two descriptive and inferential levels by SPSS and Amos software. The validity of the scale was investigated using confirmatory factor analysis and convergent construct validity. Findings: The results showed that the final model of the second-order factor analysis was confirmed and based on the model fit indices, the relative chi-square index, the TLI and CFI comparative indices, the PCFI value and the RMSEA value overall fit index of the value is acceptable and shows that the model has an acceptable fit. emotional literacy was confirmed with five components . In examining the convergent construct validity, the results showed that there is a significant positive correlation between the components of emotional literacy and emotional intelligence . The reliability of the scale was obtained using alpha coefficients and combined reliability
