The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of schema therapy on emotion regulation, self-compassion, and body dysmorphia in women with bulimia nervosa in Isfahan city. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of this research included all women who were members of the Overeaters Anonymous Association of Isfahan city in 2024. Among them, 30 people were selected by purposeful sampling and randomly placed in two control (15 people) and experimental (15 people) groups. Questionnaires used in this research included emotion regulation questionnaire (Garnefsky, Kraij and Spinhaven, 2006), self-compassion Scale (Neff, 2003), and Deformity Concern Questionnaire (Oosthuizen et al, 1998). The experimental group was trained in schema therapy sessions during 12 90-minute sessions, and the control group did not receive any intervention. The obtained data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) using SPSS26 software. The results showed that schema therapy has a significant effect on emotional regulation, self-compassion, and body dysmorphia on women with bulimia nervosa in Isfahan city (p<0.05).
