This study aimed to examine the factor structure, validity, and reliability of the Psychological Career Resources Inventory (PCRI) among university students. A descriptive, psychometric research design was employed. The statistical population consisted of all students at Shahrekord University. The sample comprised 960 undergraduate and postgraduate students selected through random sampling in 2022 (1401). The instruments used included the PCRI, the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) for convergent validity, and the Career Thoughts Inventory (CTI) for discriminant validity. Data were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to assess construct validity and correlational analyses. The results indicated that psychological career resources could be represented by the fifteen-factor model proposed by Coetzee. Furthermore, significant positive correlations were found between the PCRI components and the CAAS components, while significant negative correlations were observed between the PCRI components and the CTI. The internal consistency reliability of the PCRI, assessed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, was acceptable (0.63-0.87). Overall, the PCRI can be considered a valid instrument for assessing individuals’ psychological career resources, an essential skill for career management.
